Andreia Cismaşiu is faithful to the photographic technique - which she has learned at the University of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca (license - 2003, master - 2011) - which she combines with other pictorial techniques. Her works are a sincere expression of her everyday experience and, at the same time, an escape from the everyday life, a way to re-create artistically the universe in which she is living. Thus, each work becomes a journal page, a confession, a memory, a desire.

Artist statement:
My works represent, in generally the woman. The beauty, the sadness, the happiness, the crazyness, the mystery, the magic, all the feelings and moods of the woman. The woman in my works is me, as well as all the other women in the world. We all feel the same. All my works talk about the moment they were created. They are really personal, terapeutic, but decorative as well. The artwork I'd hang on my wall, is an artwork I'd love to spend my beautiful days with. So this is another reason I create. To bring joy to people who love art but are not artists.
I combine photography with painting. It's a technique I developed since 2009 and I love. The pictures in my works, are personal images and images found in different places and inspired me, which I reinterpret, in my own way.
The colours are like our moods. Changing! Sometimes I love to work with bright colours, sometimes with dark ones. I paint when I'm sad, I paint when I'm very happy. But I always do it with a lot of pleasure. Painting for me is meditation!
